Strange Priorities

The other day, we had an off-site office function. The function was held at a location about one-quarter to one-half mile from the office. The day was balmy, sunny, with the promise of spring. Nearly everyone got in their cars, & fought the traffic and parking for that quarter mile or so, instead of walking for 15 minutes. Now the question is, how many of those folks are paying several hundred dollars a year for gym memberships, and how many drove themselves to the gym later that afternoon to spend their 30 minutes on a treadmill to nowhere?
